Anthony David Gonzalez was a tight end from American football who played for the National Football League. He spent 17 years in the field. He is considered to be one of the top tight ends of all time. Additionally, he was the NFL's leader for receiving yards and third-highest total of receptions, Gonzalez was one of the NFL tight end who had the highest number of receptions.
A former Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons All-Pro tight end Tony Gonzalez currently serves as an FOX Sports studio analyst. Gonzalez is a regular on FOX NFL KICKOFF for the past year, is the show's host. It airs every Sunday at 11:15 am ET prior to FOX NFL Sunday.
Gonzalez was released by the Falcons on March 15, 2013. He signed a contract that was of $14 million for two years. This was in spite of his claims that he would retire at the close of the season. Randy Moss retiring, Gonzalez's 37th season marked his final as NFL leading receiver in yards.
